Nowadays, organizations use New Media as a gateway to the world for its  members. METAPIXEL Media and Design became a catalyst to strengthen unity and alas, the Virtual Tambayan was built.

The U.P. Alpha Sigma Fraternity’s Virtual Tambayan is an information website about its members (resident and alumni) and the organization. However, a Tambayan isn’t a Tambayan with no member interaction, and what you don’t see in this website is a secret access to the actual Virtual Tambayan.

The design is a simple corporate blue & gold theme same as the colors of the U.P. Alpha Sigma Fraternity. There are 2 news columns to post articles and announcements for events. Posting is dynamic and archived. The main page of the site is mostly support, but the forums (Virtual Tambayan) is the main feature of the site but is accessible to members only. Setting up the forum was one of  the most challenging experience for METAPIXEL Media & Design. The security features that the site has is a milestone and a mark of excellence.

The website was launched on the fraternity’s 46th Anniversary, October 10, 2008

One thing we learned from this website is that a very customized forum is difficult to code. However, with all the difficulties, we still pulled through and delivered.
